Carmen Cristino Oxholm Kissell - 1903-1982 My grandfather was born in Cambalache, Arecibo, P.R. He married Maria Luisa Oxholm Lopez Diaz (alias Mrs. Pubill). She was a school teacher. He became a Chemist (Boiler Operator) at Rufina and Lluberas Sugar Cane Mills in P.R. Prior to this he work in Vieques, an Island very close to Puerto Rico. His parent passed away when he and his other 2 siblings were very young, and were left in the care of Candida Garcia Roman, which took them under her wing. They then lived in Las Magas, P.R. He would live in the Town of Guayanilla, P.R. Their children were Luis, Nellie, Jose (my father) Nydia and Raphael. Note: He often told us of how he would have to travel by a small boat to school.
