Julio Oxholm DeLeon Born approximately in 1848. Living in the island of Trinidad with his father who was Danish and his Mother from Venezuela. Julio went to seek a new life at age 20 in 1868 in Puerto Rico. He settled in Cambalache in Arecibo, P.R. It is said that he spoke English, Danish, Spanish, and Latin. He served as an interpreter to Gen. Miles in P.R. during the Spanish America War per information in the Library of Congess. He was married to Joaquina Garcia in Arecibo, P.R. She also was a Chemist. Joaquina enter the marriage with a daughter Candida Roman. He was quiet a character - so I am told. The people in the area would call him the Englishman. As you can see he was very fair and had blue eye. Note: I was the only one in the family that has blue eyes, fair skin, and blond hair. This was until my nephew join along side me with blue eyes and very fair also.
