Cristino OXHOLM Garcia [Parents] was born about 1880 in Cambalache, Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Cristino married Lucia Kissell Figuerroa about 1900 in Arecibo, P.R.
Both parents passed away very early in life. The children were taken to live with Candida Garcia Roman (Aunt) to be under her care. Lived in Las Magas, Puerto Rico. Jobs: Cristino was a "Boiler Operator" at the Sugar Cane Mill in Cambalache, Arecibo, Puerto Rico - as were his sons. His wife Lucia Figuerroa was a chemist (My gg grandmother).
Lucia Kissell Figuerroa was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She died in Arecibo, P.R. Lucia married Cristino OXHOLM Garcia (my g grandfather about 1900.Job: Lucia was a Chemist.

Felipe LOPEZ DEL VALLE [Parents] Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and he died in Guayanilla, P.R. Used surname Pubill for business and trade matters. He married Esmeralda (Eulalia) DIAZ.
Other marriages: Rodriguez, Magdalena Children: Jesus Rodriguez Pubill - violinist in Ponce. His Daughter M. Rodriguez - teacher.
Felipe had at least three separate marriages.***Felipe's Family, on the Lopez side, had a plantation that should have gone to Maria Balbina as Francisco Lopez window but she never claimed the estate, therefore they did not get the inheritance which should have been first Balbinas and later theirs.
Mother's Information: Maria Balbina Del Valle was possibly born in Ponce, P.R. and she died February 20, 1926 in Yauco, P.R. Her body was later transported to Ponce about 1935 to be reburied.
Maria Balbina Del Valles 1st marriage was to Felix Pubill ***Catalan - From the Sociedad Puertorriquena de Genealogia reference. [The prestige that Don Felix Pubill had as a Municipal Employee in Ponce, P.R. for being the author of the Municipal Government Policy who not only was used in Ponce, other towns in Puerto Rico as well as America. (Don Felix Pubill was outstanding in the Catalan community of Guayanilla.]

1. Felix Pubill Del Valle -- He married Conchita (Unknown last name).
2. Gregorio Pubill Del Valle --married Avelina Perono, M. Escudero and Dorotea Diaz Quinones. He had children from all three women.
3. Rafaela Sandalia Pubill Del Valle who married:
1. Ramon Francisco Espineiro, born in Orence, Galicia, Spain.
2. Manuel Fernandez Atanes --married on June 11, 1887. He was the son of Justo Fernandez y Dominga Atanes from Albarellos, Orence, Galicia, Spain.
4. Maria Encarnacion Pubill -- who married Nicolas Perez on June 8, 1883 in Ponce Playa, Ponce, P.R.
According to "El Boletin de la Sociedad Puertorriquena de Genealogia Vol. 10 No. 3-4, Page 4- Paragraph 5 in the Articulo [De Cataluna a Guayanilla entre el comercio y la agricultura" de Otto Sievens Irizarri. States: "El hijo del catalan Felix Pubill de Ponce viene a formar parte de la familia Guayanillense fortaleciendo asi la sangre catalana en Guayanilla." o sea Felipe Pubill (Lopez Del Valle) Magui's father.
Felipe Lopez was so smart and intelligent that he allowed the people to think he was the son of Felix Pubill, Pubill which was the last name of his brothers and sisters, instead of using that of Francisco Lopez, his real father's surname, since Maria Balbina, his mother was Felix Pubill's second wife.
Taking advantage of this believe and with the blessing of the Catalan Community -- Felipe opened a "Hat Factory" which produced the Straw "pra-pra" hats who became an instant hit in those days. He has a big success in his factory and business.]

Esmeralda (Eulalia) DIAZ [Parents] "Eulalia" was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico. She died early in the1900's in Guayanilla. Eulalia married Felipe LOPEZ DEL VALLE.

Nellie OXHOLM Lopez [Parents] Nellie" was born on 4 Aug 1929 Puerto Rico.(see notes). She married Alfredo Fernandez Lopez de Victoria on 11 Jul 1978 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. (divorced) He is living in Florida.
Notes: Born in Vieques, P.R. She was inscribed in the Municipality on Book Volume 30, Folio 146, Certificate 298 and she was also inscribed in Guayanilla, P.R. on October 1, 1929.
Rafael OXHOLM Lopez [Parents] was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico. He married Iris PACHECO.

Julio OXHOLM (De Leon)Parents]Old Englishman (great great grandfather) was born 1848 in Puerto Rico. He was 62 years of age living in the Town of Cambalache, Arecibo. P.R. He died in Arecibo, P.R. He married Joaquina Garcia in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
Julio's father according to the 1910 Census was born in Demark. His mother was according to 1910 census was from Venezuela surname DeLeon.
Of very light complextion and blue eyes as seen in portrait.
According to the 1920 Census: Oxholm de Leon, Julio (Jefe) Arecibo. Joaquina Garcia (wife) were married for 35 years as of that date.
Lucia Kissell Figueroa[Parents] was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She died in Arecibo, P.R.. Lucia married Cristino OXHOLM Garcia.

She was my grandfather's sister. Said to have been the most beautiful lady in Guayanilla. She also loved to ride a bike all through town. In this period of time it was not a common thing for women to ride bikes.
She had the following children: Lydia CONCEPCION DE JESUS was born in Guayanilla, P.R. I visit Lydia at her home when I am in Puerto Rico. (my father's 2nd cousin)
